Hospital Records
Hospital Records is a seminal British independent drum and bass label founded in 1996 by Tony Colman and Chris Goss. Based in Forest Hill, South London, the label has been instrumental in shaping the modern drum and bass landscape, particularly through its pioneering work in the liquid funk subgenre. Over the decades, Hospital has cultivated a diverse roster of artists, including High Contrast, London Elektricity, Netsky, Danny Byrd, Nu:Tone, Logistics, Metrik, and S.P.Y, among others.
Beyond its recording endeavours, Hospital Records has expanded into various facets of the music industry. The label operates the publishing company Songs in the Key of Knife and the booking agency Clinic Talent. Its event brand, Hospitality, has grown from club nights to large-scale festivals such as Hospitality in the Park in London and Hospitality on the Beach in Croatia, attracting thousands of drum and bass enthusiasts from around the world.
Hospital has also been proactive in artist development through its former imprint, Med School Music, which ran from 2006 until 2019, providing a platform for emerging talents like Etherwood and Keeno. In 2022, the label integrated Soulvent Records as an imprint, further broadening its musical horizons.
With a legacy spanning nearly three decades, Hospital Records remains at the forefront of drum and bass, continually pushing the genre's boundaries while nurturing both established and upcoming artists.
