Pirapus is a drum and bass duo from Christchurch, New Zealand, comprising George Murray and Ben Hollamby, also known as Tex. Their diverse musical backgrounds, spanning hip-hop and classical music, converged during their university years, where an impromptu jam session sparked the formation of Pirapus. Their unique sound blends high-energy beats with infectious melodies, reflecting their varied influences.

Since their inception, Pirapus has made significant strides in the drum and bass scene. Their tracks have received support from major artists such as Sub Focus, the Chainsmokers, and Pendulum. In 2021, they were named Breakthrough Artist of the Year by George FM, solidifying their position as rising stars. Their discography includes releases on renowned labels like NCS, DnB All Stars, Lowly, and Lost In Dreams, alongside collaborations with artists such as Andromedik and Primate.

Pirapus is celebrated for their electrifying live performances, which have captivated audiences at major New Zealand festivals and sold-out headline shows. They have shared stages with industry heavyweights including Sub Focus, Friction, and Dimension. Their latest project, CIRCUIT DREAMS, explores themes of cyber-Y2K nightlife euphoria, further expanding their global fanbase, particularly on platforms like TikTok.
