Legend in the game Darren Jay makes a return to production with his first release in over a decade, under his alias Jay. The release sees the jungle soldier pair up with label co-own Jazzy for their debut release on their own imprint Balearic Breaks, Ibiza’s first and only drum and bass record label. This EP adds the head honchos to the already impressive roster which  lists artist such as Skuff, Motiv, Hadley, Surreal, DuoScience, Noppo, and Ewan Sim amongst its ranks. 

Jazzy and Jay mention that they “have created this EP based on their current feelings and inspirations, with Darren Jay making his return to music after a decade-long hiatus and Jazzy having his last major release under his house music alias more than 5 years ago.” And we can confirm it’s been worth the wait. For fans of fresh feeling, jazz influenced, sundrenched liquid- look no further. The A-side “No One Else” features the enchanting vocals of Sahala, while the AA draws influences from it’s namesake creating a captivating roller reminiscent of a bygone era.
