DJ Hype Announces XOYO Residency

DJ Hype, one of the pioneers of the jungle / drum and bass scene, has announced a month long residency at the infamous XOYO in London!

As the figure head of the ionic Playaz record label DJ Hype is no stranger to holding down DJ residencies in the capital.

DJ Hype Residencies

His first major residency in London within the rave / jungle era of his career was for Orange, which took place at The Rocket on Holloway Road.

Playaz nights ran at the legendary London nightclub The End for 5 years, before Hype and Pascal relocated their label showcase to the internationally renowned Fabric. For over a decade Playaz put on consistently show stopping club nights on the last Friday of every month at Fabric, with fans from all over the world travelling to the capital to attend.

Let’s not forget his years of broadcasting across Londons airwaves. His early shows on pirate station Fantasy FM, to hosting his long running weekly D&B show on Kiss FM, DJ Hype was on air week in, week out, mixing & scratching the most upfront jungle / drum & bass cuts on the radio.

Every Friday In January

Catch DJ Hype each & every Friday at XOYO throughout January. With the venue being located within spitting distance of DJ Hype ‘Playaz Dungeon’ studio we’re guessing that Hype will be in his element.

Each week Hype will be joined by a selection of special guests including Brockie, Jamie Rodigan, Shut Up & Dance, Randall, T>I, Xtrah, Taxman, Tyke, MC GQ, IC3 & Eksman to name a few. The final week will feature an extra special, all night long, 5 hour set from DJ Hype!!
