Hospital Records have announced their latest exclusive signing, dancehall and drum and bass vocal legend Doktor, is singing the exclusive ranks of the imprint. With a longstanding influence on both the dancehall and drum & bass scenes, Dockor is known for his effervescent energy and his full-bodied fusion of British and Jamaican influences. His far-reaching, cross-genre style sees his vocal sit perfectly on both tracks designed for the darkest dancefloors and the radio playlists making him the perfect fit for the imprint he now calls home.

His eclectic talents have seen him work alongside dance music’s biggest hitters including Chase & Status, Sigma, Kano, Friction, Whiney and Flux Pavilion, as well as international superstar Tyga. While his infectious energy and undeniable stage presence has seen him perform with musical giants Nas, Busta Rhymes and Ne-Yo.

With this announcement comes the news of brand new single ‘Why You Waiting’ forthcoming March 3. The vocalist-led single features drum and bass favourite Serum, and true living legend, dancehall pioneer Agent Sasco. Sing-a-long ready the track features feel-good vibes by the bucket load. Serum’s signature style sets a bouncing backdrop for catching vocals that we’re sure we’ll be hearing ringing out across dancefloors across clubs and festivals.

I’m happy to be part of the Hospital Records family and look forward to greater successes.    “Why You Waiting” is a song about getting over your procrastination and achieving your dreams.  Had to go to Jamaica to shoot this one, to show you guys where my journey begun.  Hope you enjoy.  -Doktor
