When Dustup first dropped in 2012, it became a definitive Noisia and The Upbeats moment, a high-velocity shootout of razor-edged bass, thunderous percussion and wild west tension. Thirteen years later, Austrian producer Mefjus delivers a remix that does more than update the sound. It reframes the track as a widescreen showdown.

Inspired by the spaghetti western scores of Ennio Morricone, Mefjus leans into the cinematic roots. Dust-choked atmospheres, tense pauses and galloping rhythms collide with his trademark precision. The low end hits harder, the mids are sharper, and every element feels meticulously tuned for maximum impact on 2025 sound systems.

It is a respectful tribute to an era-defining original, with the muscular drive and intricate detailing that define Mefjus’s own work. For long-time fans, it is a fresh reason to revisit one of the most celebrated Vision Recordings anthems. For new listeners, it is a perfect introduction to the energy that made Noisia and The Upbeats such a formidable pairing before Noisia’s 2020 split.

Released on VISION Recordings.
