There is a sense of intent running through Horizons that feels hard-earned. TNTKLZ have been on a steady climb since first emerging in 2020, and this latest single for Evolution Chamber sounds like a project very comfortable with where it is heading. No overreaching, no clutter. Just control.
Formed as an Austrian–Russian trio, TNTKLZ have built momentum through releases on labels including Eatbrain, Neuropunk Records, and Hoofbeats Music. Each step has sharpened their sound, and their ongoing relationship with Evolution Chamber feels particularly well-matched. Two earlier appearances on the Transmissions EP series, followed by their debut label release Echoes Of Discord, set the groundwork for what comes next.
Horizons opens patiently. Eerie pads drift over low-passed bass, establishing tension before the rhythm locks into place. The kick pattern is steady, almost restrained, giving the atmosphere room to breathe. Organ-like tones start to surface, slowly widening the frame and pulling the listener towards the breakdown. It is measured, deliberate, and confident enough not to rush.
When the drop lands, it does not explode so much as pivot. Displaced drums introduce a shifted groove, carried by a melodic line that keeps things moving with purpose. Every sixteen bars brings a subtle change, extra pressure here, a new texture there. It rewards attention, especially in a club where those details creep up on you.
The second drop leans heavier. Rolling drums take over, basslines bounce with more insistence, and the energy lifts without abandoning the track’s core tension. Then, just when it could tip too far, it snaps back into the main drop to close things out cleanly. Finesse rather than brute force. Always a good sign.
As a release, Horizons feels focused and practical, clearly built with peak-time sets in mind. It also feels like another solid chapter in TNTKLZ’s Evolution Chamber story. Forward motion, clarity of sound, and no unnecessary noise. Sometimes that is exactly what you want.
