There’s something instinctive about the way Lee UHF and Noise Souls work together. You can hear it straight away on Perceived As Human, their latest release on DEEPNAS. It doesn’t feel forced or overproduced, just two artists following a shared flow, letting ideas land naturally. The result is deep, slightly eerie drum and bass that feels both personal and precise.

The opener, Running, creeps in with heavy low-end pressure and sharp percussion that rolls with purpose. There’s space between the hits, but it never feels empty. The pads carry this strange tension, almost cinematic, and the rhythm locks you in without ever shouting for attention. It’s the kind of tune that works best when the lights are low and the crowd’s already deep in it.

Being & Nothingness takes a calmer route. It leans into atmosphere and restraint, with soft percussion and a bassline that hums quietly underneath. You can tell they’re not trying to impress anyone here. It’s about mood, not muscle. The track drifts with purpose, never really settling, and that’s what makes it stick.

By the time Perceive arrives, there’s a subtle lift in energy. The percussion snaps a little harder, the textures grow sharper, and it moves with a steady confidence. It feels like the pair are finding their stride, like the sound of something clicking into place. It doesn’t explode; it unfolds.

Perceived As Human lands on 4 February 2026 and marks the start of what looks to be a strong run of collaborations between the UK and Argentina. It’s honest, reflective drum and bass that rewards patience, and it proves that sometimes, less really is more.
