Neonlight are back with a serious bit of business on Evolution Chamber. Their debut for the label, Purple Radiance, feels like one of those tracks that’s been sitting in their vault waiting for the right home. It’s sharp, moody, and full of that signature balance they’ve perfected over the years between sci-fi atmosphere and raw, floor-focused energy.

It starts quietly. Pads stretch out, a low hum sits underneath, and you can almost sense the storm brewing. Then, bit by bit, the soundscape tightens. By the time the main riff lands, you’re locked in. The groove swings in triplets, heavy but clean, with a synth line that twists and teases without ever quite settling. That’s the magic of Neonlight, they know exactly how far to push before it tips into chaos.

The second drop completely flips the rhythm into a straight four-to-the-floor section. Same melody, different heartbeat. It’s a bold move, the kind that catches DJs mid-mix, and it works. It gives the tune a second life, one that feels built for late-night moments when the crowd’s already deep in the zone.

As a first release on Evolution Chamber, it makes total sense. The label’s built around forward-thinking artists doing things their own way, and this track fits right in. Purple Radiance has that polished aggression Neonlight are known for, but there’s more emotion here too, a kind of shimmering melancholy underneath all the muscle. Maybe that’s why it sticks with you after it ends.

It’s early days yet, but if this is how Neonlight are starting their year, we’re in for something special. They’ve always been technical, but this one shows heart as well as precision, and a reminder that heavy tunes can still feel human.
