Satya’s Sigils wastes no time. Released on 1 March 2026, Alex Physalis delivers a compact, hard-edged statement for High Tree Records, rooted in rumbling subs and unflinching drive. At 87 BPM in Gb Major and running just under three minutes, it is direct and deliberately lean.

The opening bars establish tension quickly. Sparse drums, tight and purposeful, set the frame before the bassline steps forward. When it lands, it lands properly. Thick, gritty, and physical. This is not a tune chasing melodic hooks or elaborate breakdowns. It is built around pressure, and it commits to that decision.

The sub carries real authority. There is weight in it, the kind that feels designed for larger systems rather than laptop speakers. Above it, the percussion remains disciplined. Kicks and snares are clipped and firm, keeping the track moving without drifting into clutter. It is a controlled intensity, rather than chaos.

At 2:54, Satya’s Sigils feels almost abrupt, but that brevity works in its favour. It hits, does its job, and leaves space for the next transition. For DJs, that makes it useful. The structure is clear, the phrasing practical, and the energy consistent. It could slot neatly into the middle of a tougher set, where momentum matters more than theatrics.

There are subtle textures in the upper register, faint atmospheric details that stop the track from feeling flat. They are understated, but necessary. Without them, the tune might tip too far into monotone aggression. With them, it breathes just enough.

High Tree Records has built a catalogue around solid, uncompromising material, and this release aligns with that ethos. It does not attempt to broaden the label’s identity or soften its edges. Instead, it reinforces it. Solid, raw, true, unrefined, as billed.

Satya’s Sigils is not interested in spectacle. It is a functional, forceful cut of hard Drum and Bass that understands its purpose and executes it cleanly. In a set, that kind of clarity goes a long way.
