Kublai is a Bristol-based drum and bass producer whose work draws from the genre’s deeper and more eclectic corners. Born and raised in Manchester, he grew up immersed in the city’s underground music culture before carving out his own path as a producer more than a decade ago. His style fuses heavy basslines, tech-funk grit, and liquid fluidity, creating tracks that resonate as much on a dancefloor as they do in a late-night listening session.

A self-described “bedroom musician”, Kublai thrives in the solitude of his studio, where he experiments with ideas free from external pressures. This creative freedom has led to a string of releases on respected imprints including CIA Records, Sofa Sound Bristol, Vandal Records, and The North Quarter. His productions often balance weighty low-end with rolling grooves and subtle melodic touches, reflecting both his Manchester roots and Bristol base.
