Origin Unknown was an influential drum and bass duo formed by Andy C and Ant Miles in the early 1990s. Known for their pioneering contributions to the genre, the duo rose to prominence with their iconic track Valley of the Shadows, originally released in 1993 as the B-side to The Touch on RAM Records. This track became a defining moment in the evolution of drum and bass and remains a classic to this day.
Their influence extended through further acclaimed releases, including Truly One and Sound in Motion, both of which showcased their signature atmospheric style and intricate production techniques. In 2002, a re-release of Truly One reached number 53 on the UK Singles Chart, solidifying their commercial appeal.
