RCola, a Canadian producer and DJ hailing from Montreal, has been a prominent figure in the drum and bass scene since the early 2000s. His musical journey is deeply rooted in reggae and dub influences, which he seamlessly integrates into his signature ragga-jungle style, creating an uplifting and energetic sound that resonates with audiences worldwide.
In 2002, RCola co-founded the Chopstick Dubplate label alongside Liondub and Jacky Murda, establishing a platform for his innovative fusion of Jamaican and UK sounds. He further expanded his influence by launching the JungleXpeditions music group and his solo label, Royal Crown, in 2004. Through Royal Crown, he collaborated with legendary reggae artists such as Sister Nancy and Barrington Levy, producing tracks that have become staples in the genre.
Throughout his career, RCola has amassed a substantial discography, independently releasing over 25 vinyl records and multiple digital tracks. His 2009 album, Rub A Dub Wize, showcased his prowess as a producer, blending various artists and sounds into a cohesive fusion project. In 2010, Knowledge Magazine recognized his contributions by naming him one of the top ten ragga-jungle artists globally.
As a performer, RCola has brought his high-energy sets to over 300 shows across 20 countries, captivating audiences with his dynamic mixing and original compositions.
