Oliver Reissig, professionally known as Deskai, is a versatile DJ, producer, and mastering engineer with a richly diverse background that includes French, German, Syrian, Argentinian, and Italian heritage. Born in Paris, France, he has been actively pursuing his career in Berlin, Germany, since 2012, becoming a notable figure in the electronic music scene.

Deskai’s music spans a spectrum of styles, from Drum & Bass and Down Tempo to Techno. His unique sound is defined by the incorporation of breakbeats and jazz influences, complemented by ambient, dub, and ethnic elements. This eclectic approach highlights his ability to fuse traditional and contemporary sounds into a cohesive, forward-thinking style.

With a foundation in drumming since the age of 14, Deskai refined his skills in both studio environments and live band performances, experimenting with genres as varied as jazz and hardcore metal. This breadth of experience has allowed him to create an innovative sonic identity within the electronic music domain.

Between 2010 and 2014, Deskai played an active role in organising events such as Subwax and Groove Station, holding residencies at renowned Parisian venues including Le Batofar and Glazart. A career highlight during this time was his victory in a contest hosted by a leading Drum & Bass label, earning him a performance at one of Berlin’s iconic clubs. His music has since gained support from prominent figures in the scene and features on respected record labels, reflecting his dedication to pushing the boundaries of his craft.
