Roni Size, born Ryan Owen Granville Williams, is a pioneering drum and bass producer and DJ from Bristol, UK. Rising to prominence in the 1990s, he co-founded the legendary Full Cycle Records alongside DJ Krust, establishing a groundbreaking sound that defined an era. His debut album New Forms, released in 1997, won the prestigious Mercury Prize, propelling drum and bass into the mainstream spotlight.
Renowned for blending live instrumentation with electronic production, Roni Size revolutionised drum and bass with his innovative approach. Tracks like Brown Paper Bag became instant classics, celebrated for their deep basslines and intricate rhythms.
