Scott McIlroy, known professionally as Doc Scott, is a pioneering British drum and bass DJ and producer from Coventry, England. Emerging in the late 1980s, he began his career DJing at prominent clubs and raves, including Amnesia House and The Eclipse. His early involvement in the rave scene laid the foundation for a significant influence on the evolution of drum and bass music.

In 1991, Doc Scott released his debut track, NHS, on Absolute 2, marking the beginning of a series of influential productions. Recording under his alias Nasty Habits, he produced seminal tracks such as Here Comes The Drumz and Shadow Boxing, which are considered classics in the genre.
