Canis X Sirius is a father-son drum and bass duo from the West Midlands, merging generational experience with cutting-edge sound design to create high-impact, emotionally charged music. The project pairs Sirius, a veteran MC from the early 2000s rave circuit, with his son Brad, known as Canis, a rising producer with a fierce creative drive. Together, they channel years of musical passion and personal evolution into a raw, cinematic D&B sound that is fast gaining traction across the UK and beyond.
Sirius began his career as an MC, performing at iconic events such as Helter Skelter, Raveology, and Music Hertz, and hosting a monthly showcase on Distinct FM for Eternal Musik. As bookings grew, he stepped away from the scene to focus on fatherhood—a decision that would eventually pave the way for a unique musical partnership. Years later, Canis developed an interest in production, with Sirius supporting him through his first steps. The pair's creative spark ignited fully when Canis released Lagertha on Chilli Tribe Records, a cinematic debut inspired by Norse mythology.
From that moment, Canis X Sirius was born. Through shared sessions and emotional catharsis, they developed a signature sound defined by detailed arrangements, thunderous basslines, and rich melodic undercurrents. Their breakthrough came in 2024 with Insomniac, featured on Dirtbox Recordings' Vibe City Vol. 3. By 2025, they secured a three-EP deal with the label, launching the Last Days of Disco series—a trilogy of intense, genre-bending EPs that have solidified their reputation as one of the most exciting new acts in D&B.
Their latest instalment, Last Days of Disco Part 2, features Fight Me, Insomniac (Remastered) and Nitty—a trio of tracks that blend cinematic tension with rave-ready aggression. With bold storytelling, hard-hitting grooves, and a collaborative chemistry that only blood can produce, Canis X Sirius are not just pushing boundaries—they’re forging a legacy.
