Treex, born Brice Chaplet in 1984, is a French drum and bass producer and DJ renowned for his soulful and jazz-infused liquid drum and bass tracks. Originating from Paris and now based in Lille, Treex has been an active figure in the drum and bass scene for over a decade, contributing significantly to the genre's evolution in France.

In 2011, Treex transitioned from mixing dark drum and bass in French raves to producing liquid drum and bass, allowing him to blend his diverse musical influences, including US soul, 70s funk, jazz, and hip-hop. This shift marked the beginning of his prolific production career.

Throughout his career, Treex has released numerous tracks on esteemed labels such as Soul Deep, Offworld, and Smooth-n-Groove. His work has garnered support from prominent figures in the drum and bass community, including LTJ Bukem, Technimatic, John B, Intelligent Manners, and Furney. Notable releases include the Movin' to Lille EP on Soul Deep Recordings in November 2022 and the Rainy Streets / Pastime single on Smooth N Groove Records in March 2023.

Beyond his production work, Treex has been instrumental in promoting liquid drum and bass in France through events like the 'LIQUIDZ-SPIRIT' parties and podcasts, active from 2016 to 2022.
