Sevish

Sevish, the alias of British electronic music composer Sean Archibald, is renowned for his innovative fusion of microtonality with electronic dance music genres, including drum and bass, jungle, house, and breaks. Originating from London, UK, Sevish has been active since 2005, carving a niche by integrating unconventional tuning systems into rhythmically engaging compositions.

In 2010, Sevish released Golden Hour, an album that garnered underground acclaim for its distinctive blend of microtonal harmonies and electronic beats. This was followed by Rhythm and Xen in 2015, further solidifying his reputation for pushing the boundaries of harmonic exploration within electronic music. Subsequent albums, such as Harmony Hacker (2017) and Horixens (2019), showcase his continued evolution and commitment to sonic experimentation.

Beyond his solo work, Sevish has collaborated with artists like Jacky Ligon and Tony Dubshot on projects such as Subversio and 23, contributing to the promotion and development of microtonal music. He is also the founder of the digital record label split-notes, established in 2010, dedicated to releasing microtonal music with a beat.
