UK Apache, born Abdul Wahab, is a British vocalist best known for his iconic contribution to the jungle anthem Original Nuttah alongside Shy FX. Raised in Tooting, South London, he was heavily influenced by reggae, drawing inspiration from artists like Bob Marley, Brigadier Jerry, and Dennis Brown. His love for sound system culture shaped his unique vocal style, blending reggae and jungle seamlessly.

In the early 1990s, UK Apache became a prominent voice in the emerging jungle scene. Original Nuttah was released in 1994, becoming the first jungle track to break into the UK Top 40, solidifying its status as a cornerstone of the genre. However, UK Apache stepped away from the music industry shortly after, citing disillusionment with the pressures and politics of the business.

During his time away from the spotlight, he turned to faith, finding solace and purpose in Islam while continuing to reflect on his musical legacy. In recent years, UK Apache revisited his seminal hit with I Was a Nuttah, a conscious reggae reimagining of the original, offering a mature perspective on its themes of unity and resilience.
