More Human Than Human sits deep within the cinematic world NC-17 has been building throughout No Lives Forever. The atmosphere arrives early, but it never comes at the expense of movement, with rolling low-end pressure and tightly controlled drums providing a constant sense of momentum beneath the surface.
Wreckless' contribution feels woven into the fabric of the track rather than sitting above it. The vocal elements add texture and character while reinforcing the darker mood running through the arrangement. Nothing feels forced or overstated. Instead, each element is given room to breathe, allowing the tension to build naturally as the track unfolds.
What makes the collaboration particularly effective is its restraint. The arrangement remains focused throughout, drawing strength from subtle shifts in energy rather than obvious impact points. Small details emerge through repeat listens, while the underlying groove keeps everything locked firmly to the floor.
