Hospital Records has never struggled to balance club function with musicality, and Forza Horizon 6 leans into both. Across 24 exclusive tracks written for the game's Hospital radio station, the label moves comfortably between liquid, rollers and dancefloor without the playlist ever feeling disjointed. It plays like a genuine Hospital compilation first, and a racing soundtrack second.
The opening stretch gets straight to work. Hoax, So What and Dynamite MC's Thread The Needle keeps the drums crisp and the groove uncluttered, while Metrik's Dawnbreaker (Subsonic Remix) adds a bigger, brighter edge without losing its grip. P Money and Whiney's Photo Finish injects plenty of character, before TANTRON and Nakamura Minami raise the intensity with the sharp, driving Turbo Fire.
The pace eases naturally through the middle of the release. Logistics brings warmth on Hyperspace, Fred V's Vortex floats with effortless melody, and Makoto teams up with IYRE on the beautifully understated Skyline Fever. Winslow, Gabriella Bongo and Elsa's Pieces Of Me is another standout, letting the vocal breathe over drums that never feel overworked.
There's enough weight for DJs too. InsideInfo and Kemal's Iceberg carries real low-end presence, Nu:Logic's Chromium rolls patiently, while Bop and Subwave's Elastic Dreams explores a more spacious, atmospheric corner of the compilation. Hugh Hardie, Formula, Sudley and Degs, Alibi's remix for S.P.Y, and the remaining cuts all reinforce the feeling that Hospital hasn't filled gaps here. Every track earns its place.
What makes Forza Horizon 6 work is that it never feels like background music written to support a game. These are fully realised productions that hold up on their own, whether they're soundtracking a race, sitting in a playlist or finding their way into a DJ set. That's what gives the collection its staying power.
