There are certain tracks that quietly define an era for an artist. For Magnetude, Warpath is one of them.

Originally released in 2016 as part of the Hyperdrive EP via Lifted Music, it introduced the duo’s meticulous, tech-driven aesthetic to a wider audience. Dense low-end pressure. Clinical sound design. No wasted movement. Over time, the track became a fixture in heavier sets, one of those tunes that still hits with a slightly menacing edge when it drops at the right moment.

Now, with the rights back in their hands, Magnetude revisit that moment through their own imprint, Evolution Chamber. Rather than simply reissue the original, they hand the reins to Skrimor, a producer whose presence on the label has grown steadily in recent years.

Warpath (Skrimor Remix), released on 13 February 2026, does not attempt to rewrite history. The core motif remains intact, instantly recognisable. That familiar tension in the intro still coils patiently before the drop. But the architecture around it has shifted.

Skrimor’s drums feel tight, and sharply contoured. The groove steps with motion, less industrial sprawl and more forward drive. The bassline, while still heavy, is cleaner in its impact. It pushes rather than grinds. There is a sense of restraint here that actually amplifies the force of the track. Nothing feels overcooked. If anything, it is leaner. Perhaps even a touch more ruthless.

On a modern system, that matters. DJs looking for controlled aggression will find plenty to work with. The remix sits comfortably in contemporary tech and neuro sets without feeling like it is chasing trends. It holds its own, but it also leaves space, which is rare for something this weighty.

What is interesting, maybe unexpectedly so, is how naturally this version bridges timelines. Magnetude’s early blueprint is still visible in the structure and atmosphere. Skrimor simply adjusts the lens. The cold, metallic tension remains. The sense of propulsion is heightened. It feels less like a nostalgic revisit and more like a recalibration.

Four minutes, direct and unsentimental. No grand reinvention. Just a precise, confident rework that understands why the original mattered in the first place.

Some tracks age. Others evolve. Warpath (Skrimor Remix) does the latter, and it does it with flair.
