Originally producing under the name Kemal & Rob Data, the duo later adopted the moniker Konflict, solidifying their place as innovators in the scene. Their 1999 track Messiah, released on Renegade Hardware, is regarded as one of the most iconic anthems in drum and bass, blending haunting atmospheres with intricate production and relentless energy. The track remains a touchstone for the neurofunk subgenre.
In addition to Messiah, Konflict released a series of influential tracks on labels such as Underfire and Negative, including The Beckoning, Celestial, and Roadblock.
