Saxxon, born Gareth Greenway, is a distinguished drum and bass producer and DJ from Norfolk, UK. Emerging in the early 2010s, he quickly gained recognition for his unique blend of jungle steppers and rollers, infused with a distinctive cheekiness and dynamic basslines.
In 2015, Saxxon released the New Adventures in Modern Jazz EP on Liquid V, collaborating with jazz trumpeter Jon Scott. This project seamlessly integrated live jazz elements with drum and bass, showcasing Saxxon's versatility and innovative approach to the genre.
Throughout his career, Saxxon has contributed to several notable labels, including V Recordings, Liquid V, and Natty Dub Recordings. His discography features tracks like Electrolytes and Visions, both of which have been well-received within the drum and bass community.
As of January 2025, Saxxon continues to be an active and influential figure in the drum and bass scene, with upcoming performances scheduled in various locations.
