Harry Hackett and David Stone, professionally known as GEST, are a British drum and bass duo who have been active in the scene for over a decade. Originally performing under the moniker Gerra & Stone, they made a significant impact with releases on prestigious labels such as Ram Records, Shogun Audio, and Dispatch Recordings. Their early work showcased a versatile production style, ranging from soulful, vocal-driven tracks to dancefloor-oriented anthems.

In 2019, the duo rebranded as GEST, marking a new chapter in their musical journey. This evolution was driven by their desire to encapsulate a rejuvenated sound, blending their drum and bass roots with influences from techno and other electronic genres. Their debut release under the new alias, The Foundation, exemplified this direction with its thumping sequenced basslines and tight, rolling drums.

GEST’s innovative approach has garnered support from leading figures in the drum and bass community, including DJ Marky, Alix Perez, and BBC Radio 1’s Rene LaVice. Their tracks have become staples in the sets of these tastemakers, reflecting the duo’s ability to seamlessly merge influences from Detroit techno and acid house into their unique drum and bass sound.

Throughout their career, both as Gerra & Stone and GEST, they have performed extensively across the UK and internationally, captivating audiences with their dynamic DJ sets.
