Zombie Cats revisit their acclaimed 2023 LP Tech Dreams with a bold and multifaceted new project on Dispatch Recordings. Out on 28 November 2025 via Beatport and 12 December across all major platforms, Tech Dreams | The Remixes is far more than a companion piece. Across nine tracks, the Austrian-Russian duo invite a diverse group of producers to reinterpret their vision, producing a record that feels cohesive, daring and full of character.
Three samplers have already given listeners a taste of what to expect. Magenta’s rework of Search and Destroy (with T>I) delivered a club-focused powerhouse, tightening the original’s structure into a dark, rolling statement piece. IYRE followed with his remix of Close, a cinematic and emotionally charged journey through liquid and tech elements. Des McMahon’s version of Face completed the trio, expanding the track into a progressive, textured soundscape that bridges ambience and movement.
The full LP continues to explore these contrasts. Psynchro’s remix of Tech Dreams kicks off the album with precision-cut sound design and weighty, neuro-influenced energy, setting an assertive tone. Elsewhere, Erotic Café reshape Hear No More into a smooth, percussive stepper that plays with space and subtle tension, while Redemptive delivers a stirring finale with his remix of Stay, combining shimmering pads and surging low-end power.
New material also punctuates the tracklist, with Metropolis X and Dream Tech extending the LP’s sonic reach. These additions feel integral rather than peripheral, echoing the precision and ambition of the original Tech Dreams while pushing its ideas further. There is even a self-remix from Zombie Cats themselves: Left Nothing (Zombie Cats Remix), featuring Waeys, which distils their signature hybrid of aggression and clarity into its most potent form yet.
What makes Tech Dreams | The Remixes stand apart is its curation. Rather than a scattergun collection of reworks, the album unfolds like a dialogue between producers, each responding to the original’s themes with their own vocabulary. From the mechanical energy of Magenta’s remix to the delicate narrative of IYRE’s and the cinematic arcs of McMahon’s, every contribution adds a new layer to the project’s identity.
In a genre that often moves quickly from one release to the next, Zombie Cats have created a remix LP that feels considered and enduring. Tech Dreams | The Remixes is not simply an extension of the original album but a reinvention, and one that reaffirms both their vision and the continuing evolution of the Dispatch Recordings sound.
