Tim Eliot, professionally known as Current Value, is a German drum and bass producer and DJ from Berlin. He began exploring electronic music in 1992 after receiving a Casio keyboard for Christmas. By 1997, he had established himself in the drum and bass scene with releases on labels such as Position Chrome and Don Q Records.
Throughout his career, Current Value has been recognised for his intense and intricate sound design, contributing significantly to subgenres like neurofunk and darkstep. His collaborations include work with artists such as Björk, for whom he remixed a track on her Biophilia album in 2012. He has also released numerous albums, including Frequency Hunt (1998), 2012: The Day Of Silence (2009), and Biocellulose (2016).
In addition to his solo projects, Current Value is part of the duo MachineCode, further showcasing his versatility within the electronic music spectrum. His dynamic live performances and innovative productions continue to influence and inspire the global drum and bass community.
