Pythius, born Hylke Klazema, is a Dutch drum and bass producer and DJ from Utrecht, Netherlands. He began his career with a strong background in rock and metal, which significantly influences his current sound. His journey into electronic music was sparked by attending Blackout events in Utrecht, leading to a deep connection with the local drum and bass scene.

In 2014, Pythius made a notable entrance into the drum and bass community with his debut release, the Abandon EP, on Blackout Music NL. This release showcased his high-energy, tech-driven style and established him as a rising talent in the neurofunk subgenre. The following year, he solidified his reputation with the New Order EP, earning two nominations at the 2015 Drum & Bass Awards.

Pythius's innovative approach has garnered support from industry heavyweights such as Ed Rush & Optical, Audio, and Current Value. He has collaborated with prominent artists, including Black Sun Empire and State of Mind, and has performed at major festivals like Let It Roll and Sziget. In November 2023, Pythius released his second album, Turmoil, on Blackout Music NL. This project explores a broader spectrum of drum and bass, incorporating diverse influences and featuring collaborations with various vocalists.
