Dirty Skank Beats is a producer and DJ renowned for fusing reggae and dancehall with drum and bass and electronic music. The project began in 2010 with a remix of Vybz Kartel's track Clarks, featuring Popcaan and Gaza Slim, which was released on 12" vinyl and digital formats, achieving international distribution and reaching the top 10 in reggae charts on platforms like Beatport and Juno.
In 2011, Dirty Skank Beats collaborated with J Rod Records from Trinidad & Tobago to produce the Second Chances Riddim Remixes album, featuring prominent reggae artists such as Capleton, Sizzla, Anthony B, and Coco Tea. This project was released on vinyl and digital platforms, further establishing Dirty Skank Beats' presence in the global reggae scene.
The 2012 remix of Greater Than Great by Skarra Mucci & Dreadsquad reached number one on Juno Download charts and was featured in the official music video. Subsequent official remixes for artists like Lutan Fyah, Daddy Freddy, and Ninja Man continued to showcase Dirty Skank Beats' production skills, with the Ninja Man remix maintaining the number one spot on iTunes Spain charts for over three months.
In 2014, Dirty Skank Beats released the original production Mad Riddim Combination EP, featuring vocals from Suku of Ward 21 and Doubla J, highlighting a commitment to blending traditional reggae elements with contemporary electronic sounds. As a DJ, Dirty Skank Beats has performed alongside artists such as Protoje, Aidonia, General Levy, and Charly Black, and at various festivals and events, contributing significantly to the fusion of reggae, dancehall, and drum and bass music scenes.
