Marcus Intalex, born Marcus Julian Kaye in Manchester, England, was a pioneering figure in the drum and bass scene, celebrated for his innovative approach and profound influence on the genre. Initially drawn to hip hop and soul, his musical journey began as a house DJ before he transitioned to drum and bass in the early 1990s. Known for his forward-thinking mindset, Marcus Intalex played a crucial role in shaping the liquid drum and bass sound, which blends deep, melodic tones with emotive progressions.
