When a room has already peaked, tunes like Miss You All The Time start making more sense. Not because they ease the pressure completely, but because they pull dancers further inward without dropping the tension underneath. This is not built around instant rewinds or oversized drops. The weight comes through pacing, detail, and the way the groove keeps tightening around the listener as the arrangement unfolds.

ASTRLPickle and O2 lean heavily into jungle structure here, but the movement feels controlled rather than chaotic. Chopped breaks slide around each other with just enough looseness to keep the track breathing naturally, while the sub bass stays deep and consistent underneath. A dry, woody snare gives the rhythm section its centre of gravity, cutting through the mix cleanly without sounding overly polished or clinical.

The emotional edge comes from the melodic layers sitting behind the drums. Lo-fi Casio keys drift through the arrangement carrying a worn, slightly distant texture that gives the tune its reflective tone. The contrast works well. Nothing feels overstated, but there is enough melancholy in the harmonics to change the atmosphere of the room without softening the low-end pressure.

What stands out most is the restraint in the arrangement. New edits and drum variations arrive gradually, keeping the groove moving while leaving enough space for the subs to breathe properly on a system. It feels naturally suited to those later stretches of a set where dancers are fully locked in and DJs start reaching for tracks with more emotional pull and less obvious impact.

The collaboration itself brings together contrasting instincts. ASTRLPickle, formed between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast by Josh of ASTRL Music and vinyl DJ Anthon Darzy, balance groove-focused bass production with a more melodic, selector-driven approach to rhythm and character. Christchurch-raised producer O2 adds another layer through his melodic drum and bass background, giving the track a sense of shape without overcrowding the mix.

Miss You All The Time lands as part of the forthcoming Gun Finga EP via Trigga Fingaz Records on 29th May 2026.
