Metanoia

Metanoia is a Slovenian drum and bass duo formed by established producer and DJ Smooth alongside rising talent Wooga. The project emerged from their initial collaboration on Clockwork—released on Blackout with Empirical on the flip—marking the beginning of a bold and dynamic partnership. Drawing on years of experience and fresh creative energy, Metanoia fuse technical precision with emotive power to craft an instantly recognisable sound.

Since launching the project, Metanoia have earned support from some of the most influential labels in the scene, including Blackout, Eatbrain, and Viper Recordings. Their tracks feature a high-impact blend of heavy basslines, sharp percussion, and layered melodies, balancing dancefloor aggression with cinematic depth. This distinctive style has helped them stand out in the fast-paced world of neuro-tinged drum and bass.

Metanoia’s work has also featured collaborations with vocalist Marge, known for her appearances at Rampage and Dour Festival. Her contributions add further depth to their productions, complementing the duo’s intense sonic palette with a human edge.
