Stodius is a South Wales-based drum and bass artist whose musical background stretches from metal and early dubstep through to the wider rave landscape that now informs his productions and DJ sets. A formative experience seeing Slipknot live at 14, followed by hearing Coki on a powerful soundsystem soon after, helped shape his connection to heavy low-end music and bass culture.
He began DJing in 2020 after a friend introduced him to mixing, recognising the direction and depth of his music selections. Production followed the next year, leading to a growing catalogue that currently includes 25 releases on Spotify. His sound moves across multiple corners of drum and bass, from jungle foundations through to jump-up and harder 4x4-inspired material, with a focus on movement, pace, and dancefloor function.
Alongside his own releases, Stodius holds residencies with Shella and Global Groove Radio, using his radio slots to spotlight emerging drum and bass artists and new music from across the scene. His sets regularly move between sub-genres, balancing atmosphere, pressure, and high-energy transitions.
Outside music, he is a father of two and an active outdoorsman, spending time rock climbing, mountain biking, and competing in ultra-distance obstacle course races. Those disciplines feed into the persistence and physical intensity that continue to shape his creative approach.
