Command Strange

Command Strange, born Aleksei Fuifanov in Temirtau, Kazakhstan, is a highly regarded drum and bass producer and DJ known for his ability to merge soulful melodies with heavyweight basslines. Introduced to jungle and drum and bass at a young age by his older brother, he began producing music in his teens, quickly developing a reputation for his unique style and polished sound.

His early releases on Liquid Brilliants and Fokuz Recordings showcased his knack for crafting emotive, groove-laden tracks. The album Soul Booster established him as a producer with both technical precision and an ear for melodic depth. Tracks such as Sun Is Shining and Goodbye/Music Take Your Mind became essential additions to liquid drum and bass sets worldwide.

In 2016, Command Strange signed exclusively to V Recordings, one of drum and bass's most respected labels. This partnership led to celebrated releases, including the Mystery EP, which solidified his place among the genre’s elite producers. His collaborations with artists like Artificial Intelligence and MC Fats have resulted in standout tracks celebrated for their depth and dancefloor impact.
