Mr Joseph

Mr Joseph, a London-based drum and bass producer and DJ, has been a significant figure in the scene since the early 2000s. Growing up in North West London within a Caribbean family, he was immersed in diverse musical genres, including jazz, soul, funk, and reggae. His early exposure to sound systems, influenced by his father and uncles, led him to develop DJ skills from the age of eight.

In 2016, Mr Joseph released his debut album, Inner Haze, on Liquid V, becoming only the second artist to release a full album on the label. The album showcased his ability to blend funk-filled, soulful rollers with deep, brooding basslines, creating an immersive listening experience. Tracks like Tape Bang and Blissful Delights exemplify his signature style.

Beyond his solo work, Mr Joseph co-founded the Fizzy Beats label and event brand, which played a pivotal role in promoting drum and bass talent in London. Through Fizzy Beats, he collaborated with various artists, contributing to the growth and diversity of the genre. His remix of DJ Zinc's Move That Sound featuring MC Fats further highlights his collaborative spirit.

As a performer, Mr Joseph has graced renowned venues, including Fabric in London, where he tested his productions on their acclaimed sound system. His dynamic DJ sets are celebrated for their seamless mixing and deep selection, earning him a dedicated following.
