Subsonic, real name Harry Peters, is a UK-based drum and bass producer and DJ known for his evolution from dubstep and jump up roots into vibrant, melodic dancefloor-driven D&B.

He began his musical journey in dubstep around 2012 and transitioned into jump up drum and bass around 2015, encouraged by peers such as K Motionz to explore that side of the genre. His early productions were signed to labels including Low Down Deep, D-Stortion and Young Guns.

As his craft developed, Subsonic shifted towards accessible, catchy melodies and powerful vocal-led tracks, earning recognition for their impact on the dancefloor. Releases on Crucast, Pilot and Elevate have marked this phase of growth and refinement.

Notable tracks include Love and Love VIP, alongside remixes such as Left to Right and Dom Dolla’s Miracle Maker, showcasing his ability to combine emotive melodies with heavy, energetic basslines. In February 2025, Subsonic teamed up with 1991 to rework Ian van Dahl’s classic Castles In The Sky, a track he grew up with through his parents, making the release particularly significant.

From early experimentation to a polished, high-energy style, Subsonic has emerged as one of the most promising figures in modern UK drum and bass, with a growing catalogue that bridges melody and weight.
