High Contrast, born Lincoln Barrett on 18 September 1979 in Penarth, Wales, is one of the most influential figures in the drum and bass scene. He rose to prominence in 2002 with the release of his debut album True Colours on Hospital Records, featuring standout tracks such as Return of Forever and Global Love. In 2004, High Contrast released his second album, High Society, which solidified his status as a leading producer in drum and bass. Tracks like Racing Green and Basement Track became anthems, showcasing his ability to merge dancefloor energy with melodic sophistication.
