Maduk

Maduk (real name: Maarten van der Vleuten) is a Dutch drum and bass producer and DJ, renowned for his melodic and atmospheric style. He began producing music at the age of 16, influenced by the likes of Pendulum and other pioneers in the drum and bass scene.

Maduk first gained recognition in 2011 when he signed to the renowned drum and bass label, Hospital Records, one of the leading labels within the genre. His early work showcased his ability to blend lush melodies with powerful basslines, earning him a loyal following. Maduk's breakout track "New Dawn" was released in 2012 and quickly became a fan favourite, marking the beginning of his rise in the melodic drum and bass subgenre.

In 2014, Maduk released his debut album "Shaping Shadows", which demonstrated his growth as an artist, blending his signature style with elements from other genres such as liquid funk and deeper sounds. The album received critical acclaim and cemented his place within the top tier of drum and bass producers.

Maduk is also a co-founder of Liquicity, one of the most influential platforms in the drum and bass scene, which has played a key role in promoting melodic and liquid drum and bass. His involvement with Liquicity has expanded his reach as an artist and helped the platform grow into a hub for like-minded artists and fans.

In addition to his solo work, Maduk has collaborated with well-known artists such as Veela and DRS. His music has been featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and his live performances at major festivals like Let It Roll and Liquicity have earned him a dedicated global fanbase.
