Nymfo, the alias of Dutch DJ and producer Bardo Camp, has been a prominent figure in the drum and bass scene since the early 2000s. Hailing from Amsterdam, he began his musical journey at the age of 14, initially DJing gabber under the moniker Nymphomaniac. However, his passion soon shifted towards drum and bass, leading him to establish himself as a versatile and dedicated artist within the genre.
Throughout his career, Nymfo has released music on esteemed labels such as Commercial Suicide, Metalheadz, Hospital Records, Critical, CIA, Fokuz, Samurai, RAM, and Dispatch. His productions are characterized by a blend of tough, techno-tinged dancefloor rhythms and soulful, liquid melodies, showcasing his ability to traverse various styles within drum and bass.
Collaborations have been integral to Nymfo's artistic development. He has worked alongside notable artists like Black Sun Empire, Klute, S.P.Y, DLR, and Total Science. These partnerships have resulted in tracks that have garnered support from influential figures across the scene, including Goldie, Friction, Fabio, Hype, and Teebee.
Beyond the studio, Nymfo is renowned for his dynamic DJ sets, captivating audiences at festivals such as Lowlands and touring globally, with performances in New Zealand and South Africa. His residencies at events like Red Zone in Amsterdam, which he co-ran with Martyn for over a decade, and Breek in Eindhoven, have further solidified his reputation as a dedicated and passionate contributor to the drum and bass community.
