Monrroe, real name Elijah Symons, is a drum and bass producer and DJ from Stanway in the West Country, England. Growing up in a traveller community, he was heavily influenced by his mother, a dedicated junglist who introduced him to the sounds of 90s jungle and acid house. This early exposure played a significant role in shaping his musical journey.
His passion for liquid drum and bass was ignited upon hearing Logistics’ City Life, leading him to begin producing under the moniker Monrroe in 2013. While pursuing a degree in Music Technology, he gained recognition for his atmospheric and emotive productions. A pivotal moment in his career was the release of Dawning featuring Emily Jones in 2015, which garnered significant attention and was later remixed by Technimatic.
Monrroe's dedication to blending organic sounds with high-energy drum and bass has positioned him as a rising star in the scene, with releases on labels like Galacy and collaborations with platforms such as Liquicity.
