Prolix, born Chris McCarthy, is a London-based drum and bass producer, DJ, and the founder of Trendkill Records. Renowned for his high-energy sets and meticulous production, he has been a significant figure in the drum and bass scene for over a decade.

Throughout his career, Prolix has released tracks on esteemed labels such as RAM, Playaz, Ganja Tek, VISION, Blackout, Renegade Hardware, Metalheadz, Viper, Virus, and OWSLA/MTA. His collaborations include work with Noisia on the track Asteroids and with Gridlok on the album Project Trendkill.

In 2011, Prolix established Trendkill Records to have greater creative control over his music. The label has since become known for its diverse roster and commitment to sonic excellence.

Prolix's dynamic DJ performances have taken him to major festivals worldwide, including EDC Las Vegas, Let It Roll, and Bassrush. His sets are celebrated for their intensity and ability to energise audiences. With a career marked by influential releases and collaborations, Prolix continues to be a driving force in the drum and bass community, consistently pushing the boundaries of the genre.
