Dynamite MC, born Dominic Smith, is a pioneering British MC known for his dynamic presence in drum and bass, jungle, and hip-hop. Rising to fame as part of Roni Size's Reprazent collective, he played a key role in their Mercury Prize-winning album New Forms in 1997 and continued his vocal contributions on In The Mode.
Beyond Reprazent, Dynamite MC built an impressive solo career with albums like The World of Dynamite and mixtapes such as Big Man Talk. His versatile style led to collaborations with Andy C, DJ Zinc, and Krafty Kuts, as well as crossover hits featured in games like Need for Speed: Carbon.
In addition to his music career, Dynamite MC hosted a radio show on Kiss FM, interviewing major artists like Lady Gaga, Redman, and Estelle. His charismatic style and razor-sharp lyricism have cemented him as one of the most respected and influential MCs in drum and bass history.
With a career spanning decades, Dynamite MC remains a central figure in electronic music, bringing energy and authenticity to every stage and recording.
