Nathan Hayes, known professionally as Atlantic Connection, is an American drum and bass producer and DJ hailing from North Carolina. His passion for the genre ignited in the late 1990s after discovering LTJ Bukem's Logical Progression LP, which inspired him to begin DJing at 16 and promoting the sound throughout his home state.
In the early 2000s, Hayes co-founded the production outfit Basic Operations, gaining recognition with releases like Mars vs. Earth on Phuturo and Era Soul on Advanced. Their remix of Studio 54 by Karl K, J Kennedy, and Kaos further showcased their talent. Transitioning to his solo project, Atlantic Connection, Hayes secured releases on esteemed labels such as Creative Source, Dispatch, and Liquid V, with tracks like Can't Destroy Love highlighting his soulful approach to drum and bass.
