Dijeyow, born Edgar Rubio Pons, is a prominent figure in the Spanish drum and bass and ragga-jungle scenes. Based in Barcelona, he has been instrumental in promoting and producing these genres, both as a DJ and a label owner. His passion for electronic music began in the early 2000s, leading him to develop a unique style influenced by hip-hop and breaks, which is evident in his sharp scratch techniques and dynamic performances.
In 2008, Dijeyow co-founded the ragga-jungle label Breaknest Records, collaborating with artists worldwide, including pioneers like Osci, Paulie Walnuts, Twinhooker, and DJ K. This initiative showcased his commitment to fostering a global community within the genre. Two years later, in 2010, he established Dubnest Records, further expanding his reach and facilitating international collaborations with artists such as DJ Panik, Isaac Maya, Run Tingz, and Blackout JA.
Dijeyow's discography reflects his dedication to the ragga-jungle and drum and bass genres. Notable releases include the Antique Junglist Riddim EP (2014) and Junglist Revolution (2018), both of which highlight his ability to blend traditional jungle rhythms with contemporary production techniques. His tracks are characterised by energetic beats, deep basslines, and a seamless fusion of reggae influences, earning him recognition within the international drum and bass community.
Beyond his production work, Dijeyow is celebrated for his dynamic live performances.
