DJ Dara

DJ Dara, born Darragh Guilfoyle in Brooklyn, New York, is a highly respected figure in the drum and bass scene, known for his technical prowess as a DJ and his contributions to the genre in the United States. Originally from Ireland, Dara relocated to the U.S., where he became a key player in popularising drum and bass on American shores.

Dara co-founded Breakbeat Science in 1996, the first drum and bass specialty record store in the United States. This iconic establishment not only served as a hub for fans of the genre but also played a pivotal role in fostering the growth of the drum and bass community. Through Breakbeat Science, Dara helped curate and distribute seminal records that introduced countless listeners to the genre.
