Fanu, born Janne Hatula on 21 March 1980 in Helsinki, Finland, is a distinguished producer and DJ in the drum and bass scene. Beginning his musical journey at the age of twelve, he has developed a unique style that seamlessly blends intricate breakbeats with atmospheric soundscapes, earning him recognition for his innovative approach to the genre.

In 2003, Fanu released his first recording, marking the start of a prolific career. His discography includes notable albums such as Daylightless (2007), Homefree (2009), and The Silent Watcher (2017). Beyond his solo work, he has collaborated with esteemed artists, including producer Bill Laswell and vocalist Gigi, further showcasing his versatility and commitment to musical exploration.
