Generation Dub, also known as G Dub, is a British drum and bass duo consisting of Adam Tindill and Jake Carter. Emerging in the early 2000s, they quickly gained a reputation for their energetic, dancefloor-focused productions, becoming a staple in the jump-up subgenre of drum and bass.
Hailing from Newcastle, Generation Dub began making waves with their debut releases on Formation Records, the label run by DJ SS. Tracks such as Body Snatchers and Bassline Secret showcased their distinctive style, characterised by heavy basslines, crisp drum patterns, and infectious hooks that ignited dancefloors worldwide.
In 2005, the duo transitioned to their G Dub alias, marking a period of prolific output and collaborations with prominent labels such as Playaz Recordings. Their dynamic sound and consistent quality cemented their place as key contributors to the jump-up scene, earning them widespread support from leading DJs and fans alike.
Known for their high-energy DJ sets, Generation Dub has performed at major drum and bass events and festivals, including Fabric in London and global drum and bass gatherings like Let It Roll.
