Rid is a British drum and bass producer hailing from Newcastle, UK. Despite facing significant personal challenges, including a frontal lobe brain injury resulting from a workplace explosion that left him deaf in his right ear and blind in his right eye, Rid has demonstrated remarkable resilience and dedication to his craft.

In March 2023, Rid's talent garnered the attention of established producer Tyke, leading to a mentorship that significantly honed his production skills. This collaboration culminated in the release of his track Lucifer on Holographic Audio, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.

Prior to this, Rid self-released his debut track, Final Flash, on SoundCloud, with proceeds supporting the Child Brain Injury Trust. This initiative reflects his commitment to using his art for philanthropic endeavours, channelling his personal experiences into positive action.
