Slipz is a British DJ and producer hailing from Nottingham, renowned for his dynamic presence in the drum and bass scene. He began his musical journey as a grime and bassline producer, collaborating with artists such as Daddy Freddy, Jocelyn Brown, Aquasky, Dapz, and Trigga. Transitioning to drum and bass, Slipz has garnered support from prominent figures like Nicky Blackmarket, Logan D, and Andy C, establishing himself as a formidable talent both in the studio and behind the decks.
As a key member of the Basslayerz collective, alongside MCs Spyda and Blu Bomma, Slipz has contributed significantly to the genre's evolution. The group has performed at major events, including Innovation In The Sun, Breakin Science, and WestFest, showcasing their high-energy performances to audiences across Europe. In 2018, they founded Basslayerz Recordings, a label that has released tracks from artists such as AC13, Bou, AKAS, Disrupta, and L-Side, further cementing their influence within the drum and bass community.
Slipz's discography includes notable releases like the Out Ere EP (2018), featuring tracks such as Get Down and Not Laughing, and the Funk Baby / Okay single (2019), a collaboration with Tesen. His productions are characterised by heavy basslines, intricate drum patterns, and infectious energy, contributing to his reputation as a versatile and innovative artist.
